Why does the Pension Schemes Act 2021 matter? | The Pensions Regulator’s wider powers
The long-awaited Pension Schemes Act 2021 received Royal Assent on 11 February 2021. The Act contains measures which bring many changes to the way pension schemes are run in the coming years.
This update starts our series of updates with a look at the wide-ranging changes to the Pensions Regulator’s powers. Our next update will examine the other provisions of the Act which create the foundations for new initiatives on Climate Change and the Pensions Dashboard as well as fundamentally changing existing laws on the payment of transfers and funding negotiations.
