Why does the Pension Schemes Act 2021 matter? | Climate Change, the Dashboard, Funding and Transfers
The long-awaited Pension Schemes Act 2021 received Royal Assent on 11 February 2021.
Whilst the controversial and significant widening of the Pensions Regulator’s powers have grabbed the pensions headlines, other changes are likely to bring big changes to the way pension schemes are run in the coming years.
This is the second in our series of updates. It looks at parts of the Act which create the foundations for new initiatives on Climate Change and the Pensions Dashboard as well as fundamentally changing existing laws on the payment of transfers and funding negotiations.
