Rosalind Connor speaks to PMI TV on the value of codes of practice in the legal environment

Rosalind speaks to PMI TV about the how differences between law and guidance are viewed by the court. Rosalind explains that guidance has a limited value in the court process.

Rosalind also explains the importance of the information that guidance provides and how this can be of assistance in anticipating the regulator’s decisions. However, she goes on to say that guidance will provide you with very little protection in court and that following guidance rather than professional advice will leave trustees far more legally exposed.
