Rosalind Connor comments on Brexit in an interview with Pensions Insight

This article was written and published before the outcome of the Referendum on EU membership was known but the guidance and commentary within it remains applicable now that the UK has voted to leave the EU.

In the first ever episode of PI in a Pod, host Sara Benwell is joined by special guests Rosalind Connor, Partner at Arc Pensions Law and Hugh Nolan, President of the Society of Pensions Professionals to discuss the thorny issue of Brexit and what it means to pensions.

With just a short time until the EU referendum Rosalind and Hugh discuss what it means for pension professionals and what should pension trustees and scheme managers be taking into consideration from a legal perspective.

Rosalind brings to attention the fact they very little of pension law originates from the EU and the UK was already compliant with nearly all EU pension related directives. However, the EU has issued many employment related directives that are relevant to pensions and therefore pension trustees.
