We are delighted to announce that Senior Associate, Richard Meers, has been shortlisted for Lawyer of the Year at the Professional Pensions Rising Star Awards 2026.

The Rising Star Awards recognise the pensions industry’s emerging talent, celebrating individuals who have made an outstanding contribution early in their careers and are already having a significant impact on clients, colleagues and the wider profession.

Richard’s nomination reflects his growing reputation as one of the sector’s brightest young pensions lawyers. Working alongside partner, Ben Fairhead, Richard specialises in pensions litigation, advising trustees, employers and providers on a broad range of contentious pensions matters. He has played an important role in the continued growth of Arc’s pensions litigation practice, combining strong technical expertise with a practical, commercial approach to complex disputes.

Alongside his client work, Richard is committed to supporting the wider pensions profession. He regularly contributes thought leadership on key legal developments and plays an active role in initiatives that promote greater engagement of junior lawyers and inclusion and diversity across the industry.
