Max has worked in pensions since 1998 and qualified as a legal executive at an international law firm in 2006. He joined Arc Pensions Law in May 2017.
Max advises employers on all aspects of pensions law and has particular experience of scheme mergers (including sectionalising the receiving scheme), buy-outs and buy-ins including benefit specifications and negotiating contractual terms. He also has extensive experience of drafting trust deeds and rules and other scheme documentation, including those with multiple sections and complex benefit structures, as well as dealing with the Pensions Regulator and the Pension Protection Fund.
Max has also advised employers in both the public and private sectors on pension arrangements in outsourcing agreements, second generation transfers and in relation to Beckmann issues. Max has gained practical experience of running pension schemes through his work as an officer of independent trustee companies since 1998.
