Anna Rogers

Senior Partner

Anna has spent her entire career advising clients who operate or sponsor occupational pension schemes, with a particular expertise in defined benefit schemes.

Her current work focuses on various stages of the journey to settlement, such as bulk purchase annuity transactions, benefit audits and specifications, remedial action, GMP equalisation and conversion, liability management, insurance risk transfer (including residual risk and trustee protection), funding agreements and use of surplus.

Anna started in pensions in 1984 and has helped clients work through all the significant pensions legal and regulatory developments as they have unfolded over the last three decades. Anna also has experience with many scheme mergers, demergers, and the pensions aspects of corporate transactions at UK and international levels.

In addition to advising on technical legal issues, she has wide experience of member communications, resolving disputes and scheme documentation, including obtaining a Plain English crystal mark for a Trust Deed and Rules. Anna is a Fellow and former Council-member of the Pensions Management Institute, and was the Chairman of the Association of Pension Lawyers from 2013 to November 2015. She is a regular public speaker and author of articles on pensions subjects.

Anna retains her Band 1 ranking in Chambers UK 2023 Guide for Pensions and is listed in The Legal 500 Hall of Fame for Pensions (non-contentious).
