Arc Pensions Law ranked Tier 2 across its offices in The Legal 500 UK 2021 for Pensions
We are pleased to announce that Arc Pensions Law’s London and Leeds offices are ranked again this year in The Legal 500 UK Guide for Pensions (non-contentious).
The London office has increased its rank from Tier 3 to Tier 2 this year and the Leeds office retains its Tier 2 ranking.
For the London office, The Legal 500 notes:
Specialist firm Arc Pensions Law is led by senior partner Anna Rogers, who co-founded the firm in 2015; it now advises many law firms that do not have a specific focus on pensions law. Approximately 50% of the firm’s work is geared towards advising trustees, particularly in relation to scheme governance matters, while other recent work highlights have touched on issues such as the implications of business acquisitions and disposals, benefit corrections, GMP equalisation and benefit cleansing. Key team members include Anna Copestake, who is described as being ‘in the top decile of the industry’; ‘outstanding’ managing partner Rosalind Connor; the ‘highly recommended’ Anne-Marie Winton, and senior associate Abigail Cohen.
The directory ranks Partners Anna Rogers and Anne-Marie Winton as Leading Individuals and recognises Anna Copestake as a Next Generation Partner.
For the Leeds office, The Legal 500 notes:
Arc Pensions Law is a premier national pensions boutique with a strong Leeds footprint. The team – which includes practice heads Vikki Massarano and Kate Payne – advises a long list of trustee clients on the full scope of scheme governance issues, including defined benefit buyins, scheme consolidations and master trust transfers. Employers also engage to team on corporate due diligence, scheme closures and negotiations with trustees. The team is increasing its profile on the contentious side; Payne and director Max Ballad recently represented a beneficiary in a High Court claim concerning the pension increase rule.
The directory recognises Partner Kate Payne as a Leading Individual and Legal Director Max Ballad as a Rising Star.
