Arc Pensions Law advises trustees of Ferno pension scheme on buy-in

Arc Pensions Law has advised the trustees of the Ferno (UK) Limited Retirement and Death Benefits Scheme on securing a full buy-in with Legal & General. The transaction, valued at approximately £4mn, covers the benefits of around 100 members and represents a key step in providing long-term security for scheme members. The buy-in was a year long process as far as preparing for the transaction and marks a real milestone for the scheme, the members, trustees and employer.

The team at Arc comprised Partner Kate Payne and Associate Clare Pollard.

Kate Payne commented:

“We were very pleased to support the trustees in achieving this important milestone. A full buy-in provides members with the comfort that their benefits are now fully insured, and it allows the trustees and sponsoring employer to move forward with confidence. It has been a pleasure to work with everyone involved to reach such a positive outcome.”

News of the buy-in was published in Professional Pensions, Pensions Age and Law360.
