Anne-Marie Winston in Professional Pensions on trustees preparing for the new DC codes
Trustees will soon need to comply with the new DC framework proposed by the regulator. These final codes, still in draft, will have implications for future pension schemes.
Anne-Marie says: “It is putting some quote onerous requirements on trustees, which for smaller DC schemes could be challenging. It requires trustees to have a very good understanding and almost involvement in the actions of third-party administrators.
“The detail is quite complicated, which is why some trustees may decide to take a view on whether it is practical to follow absolutely every recommendation.”
